| home is awesome. i love my family. i also really love missouri. people dog on ol' mo all of the time, but wouldn't one who has grown up there know more about the beauty of mo than people that have driven across i-70? and wouldn't one who has gone to a cardinals baseball game in stl every year of his life except one know more about cardinals fans than people that have never been to stl. now, you could be saying that i am a bit biased. that could be a bit true, but my bro and i have been to 15 ballparks and have spent the day of the game walking around the city to get a feel for it as well. i am not going to say that stl is the best city in america ever in my life, but the cardinals fans are amazing. even the minor league cardinals fans are amazing. they know they stuff and appreciate good play (they cheer for sac fly's, cheer when chris duncan's line drive homerun is robbed by the oposing team's centerfielder, etc.). it is just refreshing to be away from rude fans. that is my rant. besides that, i am going to spend the day working on mom's yard and probably watch another amazing sunset over the rolling hills of mo that are not obstructed by houses or other man-made things. later. | | |
| so i have determined, for now, that chips and salsa are about the best food ever. i could eat it every meal of the day. what makes them even better is sitting on the beach eating them especially with the weather we have been having lately. i am getting sad to leave this house. i had scott hartman fiddle with my mouthpiece yesterday and i am not an equipment junkie, but there is something to say about getting a horn that doesn't make you work harder to produce what you are wanting to produce or something as simple as finding a mouthpiece who's backbore matches your horn that allows you to have great resonance or a cup of the mouthpiece that helps with clarity of articulation. just my thoughts. 24 is getting STINKIN intense and i think i have poison on my arms. oh and playing alto trombone is funky. | | |
| so, i live a pretty uneventful life. i go to school, work, and sleep. occasionally i will go out or something, but for the most part a simple guy as you know. well, i decided i was tired of city stuff this week (strange i didn't figure it out over spring break but now the week after when i need to work). but yeah, so i went hiking around (well, basically walking up and down small hills but i guess that is what we call hiking around here) and it was awesome none the less. just to spend some time where the only sounds i hear are leaves in the wind, dogs barking occasionally and fellas yelling at their dog to return to them....it was sweet. well, i did that the past couple days and also went to a batting cage since intermural softball is starting up on sunday (yeah baby!!). needless to say, i am a little sore. this is the most activity my body has done in a while...oh and i ran a few miles twice last week and went on two 5 mile walks as well. i am trying to not be chubby anymore. and before all this stuff two awesome friends visited on different weekends. so i guess i am little more eventful than i think. but with all of that happening (along with getting a sleeping bag and girl scout cookies and rocky balboa for my bday which hasn't happened yet) i am getting to a point here. there is a dead man somewhere in the long island sound right in front of my house....well maybe 5 miles away or so, but still. i was looking out my window (oh, if you didn't know, i live in a beach house...yeah, it is sweet i know) and there were some lights flashing that i had never seen before. we can see dim lights on long island from our house, but these were bright siren lights. then erik (my roomie) checked online and found out that a man fell off a boat while the other two fellas were sleeping. it is sketchy. just check out this website - http://www.wtnh.com/Global/story.asp?S=6295247 - for the story and let me know what you think. it is cool to live with a forensic science dude. i am just worried that when i look out my window in the morning it is going to be low tide and there will be a dead man in my back yard. freaky. | | |
